Jason Beaumont was born on the Isle of Man, with its beautiful and varied landscape, where from an early age he developed a passion for and a deep understanding of plants.
A gifted student Jason moved to England and obtained a Diploma at the prestigious Pershore Horticultural College.
Jason’s varied work experience has included a collaboration on a Gold medal–winning garden at the world–renowned Chelsea Flower Show. Similar work has resulted in Silver–Gilt & Gold medals for garden design at the RHS’ Malvern Flower Show. Jason has also been privileged to work on the private garden of Professor Stefan Buczacki, a highly respected British horticulturist who has written over 50 books and who was panellist and chairman for 12 years on Radio 4’s ‘Gardeners' Question Time’.
Jason’s work has been incredibly varied from small tranquil places to large contemporary designs. Jason adopts a careful ‘hands-on’ approach to all of his work and believes passionately in hard-work to achieve his customer’s objectives.
“My approach to design is that you must combine form with function. If you’re designing for someone’s weekend country cottage, you don’t suggest something that requires a complex design with a lot of work: they want to be able to sit in the garden and enjoy it. Because I’m also familiar with the build side of the business, I know how to allow for this in creating my designs. Many garden designers produce plans and then find a recommended contractor; but I provide both design and build, which means I am involved at all stages, discussing ideas and liaising with the client.”
Jason has now firmly established himself within the Bristol community, an area he enjoys immensely.
